Hey, hi, hola - My name is Rachel!
I’m a female solo traveler on a budget who believes in ethical travel, the three R’s, inclusive feminism, and enjoying life. I began traveling my junior year of college in Seville, Spain. I fell hard for Spanish culture (la madrugada, la siesta, y las tapas), and managed to visit 9 countries in Europe on €38 a day (that’s $42)! Thus began my passion for budgeting and solo travel. A year later in 2018 I discovered that my application for Spain’s Auxiliares de Conversación ESL program had been accepted. Momentarily, I contemplated the route of a “more traditional career path”, but gave in to wanderlust and call the European lifestyle I knew I loved. Shortly thereafter, I conjured up the title She's Out There, the perfect title for a young woman who's a little "out there" in more ways than one. Jump to current-day-She. Four years later I've lived in three different regions in Spain and published articles that explore everything from investing in drone technology to turning a breakup into a breakthrough. She's Out There is reserved for travel adventures and personal musings. Leave a comment in the box over on the right! I love hearing what you have to say.
